A Down Under Food, Wine and Travel Adventure

By: News Release
From Kangaroo Island to the Melbourne Cup

We are going to Australia this fall and there are a few seats left.

Take advantage of this incredible opportunity that has just been extended. If you’ve never been to Australia or you need an excuse to go back, this food and wine tour is truly the way to do it accompanied by The Vancouver Sun wine writer Anthony Gismondi. The Sun is now offering this remarkable tour for $1,000 per person less (based on double occupancy) than had been first listed due to an airline schedule change.Sun Tour Box

If you’re not familiar with the tour already let us entice you a little; it is filled with experiences that you cannot purchase.

  • Wine and food pairing dinners organized by the Barossa Wine Growers Association, the McLaren Vale Grape, Wine and Tourism Association and many other meals accompanied by wine and many by tastings prior.
  • A Viognier brunch organized by Yalumba Winery lead by winemaker Louisa Rose, followed by a blending session of their latest vintage of Syrah.
  • VIP Lunch at Barossa’s renowned Peter Lehmann Winery.
  • Kangaroo Island, celebrated for its flora and fauna, where you’ll taste one of the best Cabernet Francs being made today in the world on a private deck.
  • Food & Cider tastings:  There’s much more wine, but there will be other tastings including handmade farmhouse cheeses, olive oil, organic and biodynamic cider, chocolate and, of course, the Aussie staple, the meat pie.
  • A Food Tour in Melbourne, the city that is considered Australia’s culinary hotspot.
  • Cooking Class at the famed Maggie Beer farm where we’ll also have a delightful lunch.
  • Wildlife, Geography and Free Time - We’ve also made sure you’ll encounter the exotic wildlife and experience the beautiful geography of Australia while providing you some free time to shop, play golf or relax at the beach.
  • Visits to multiple Cities and Wine Regions: Melbourne, Adelaide, the Yarra Valley, Mornington Peninsula, McLaren Vale, Barossa Valley and Kangaroo Island.
  • Horse Racing is a true cultural experience in Australia and you’ll attend one of Australia’s biggest sporting and cultural events, the Melbourne Cup International Horse Race.
  • These are just the highlights click here for the full itinerary

With an exchange rate favourable to Canadians and almost all of your expenses included, it’s also an extraordinary value. Don’t delay as we’re only taking 22 people and there are just three seats remaining; the Tour will close as soon as those spots are filled.
