Holiday Countdown

By: Anthony Gismondi
All that sparkles...

The holiday countdown is on but there are still places to go and people to see.

Treve is off to Franciacorta this week to continue her global sparkling wine journey - and speaking of sparkling, we're gearing up for our annual GOW champagne tasting in late November. You can expect a comprehensive look at the market in both the private and government stores just in time for the holidays. I’ll be making a surgical cut, in and out, of Emilia-Romagna this week to close out my 2015 travel schedule while Stuart is in the middle of a big syrah tasting, notes coming soon. In the meantime look for a new “Places” piece on Beaujolais to balance the somewhat dodgy wines of the annual Beaujolais Nouveau release that won’t go away. Beaujolais beyond Nouveau, publishes Monday Nov. 16 and will include a list of new Cru Beaujolais reviews.
