Spain/Portugal to headline 2018 VIWF

By: Anthony Gismondi
Festival dates return to late February.

The 40th Vancouver International Wine Festival returns to its regular late February dates in 2018 and officials have announced Spain and Portugal will be the theme countries.

That gives us a year to get to Spain and Portugal and to update our stories and reviews in time for the festival. In the meantime, ProWein is on the horizon, in Dusseldorf, Germany. The next festival headed for Vancouver is the California Wine Fair. It’s year 37th for the Golden State show coming Monday, April 24. We will be posting our festival notes in the coming days and I’m catching up on my notes from Italy and the many visitors who make it to BC. In the meantime, there are plenty of new reviews to check out, not to mention our latest Top Ten released as usual, every Thursday.
