Wine Fest Week Is Here

Vancouver International Wine Festival Rolls Back to Town

Well, the busiest wine week of the year is here.

Vancouver International Wine Festival is back to the city, and the GOW team has landed back in town, ready to go. As he does every year, Anthony wrote about VIWF extensively for The Vancouver Sun Salut! section, highlighting some of the 156 wineries present, and focusing on the 60 Italian wineries. Over on Pique Newsmagazine, he outlines what to expect from year 38 of Wine Fest in the city, including how to enjoy Italian wines back at home (stock up at the on-site store). We both talked about top Italian picks available across BC in this month's WineAlign West 20 Under $20 column, proving Italy can nail value, especially with their autochthonous grapes. Speaking of native grapes, watch for our series of Top Tens this week, including our picks for indigenous grapes representing place, worldwide. Anthony and Kasey Wilson will be chatting up folks from the festival floor on CISL 650 The Best of Food and Wine Thursday and Friday from 7-9pm, and Saturday from 3-5pm and again from 7-9pm.  Follow us along on Instagram and Twitter as we post our top finds throughout festival week. Salut
