Osoyoos Larose 2002

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe second edition of Osoyoos Larose is bigger than the first and while elegant it is Bordelais dry. Look for smoky, peppery, meaty, black cherry fruit aromas with spicy, clove, violet, cassis undertones and a touch of mushroom. It is rich and concentrated yet dry and fairly firm with good balance. On the palate it mixes spicy, cassis and peppery, smoky vanilla, tobacco and black cherry flavours. Very Bordelais in style with barley any Okanagan presence. Will need a full 5-7 years most likely to fully mature. More of a collector's wine that a ready to go restaurant wine.Tasted: 17 September 2004Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
