Sicily, ItalyPeppery, chocolate, cassis jam nose streaked with licorice, black cherry and smoky tobacco vanilla aromas. Rich, ripe, round palate (supported by the cabernet sauvignon) with supple tannins and good acidity. Plenty of cassis, chocolate, peppery, licorice, olive and tobacco flavours with a black cherry and clove finish. Plenty of intensity and length here. Needs another 2-3 years in bottle.
