Napa Valley, California, United StatesThe 2003 Stature is wound up tight as this stage with showing a drier profile with less glossy fruit that is already evident in the 2004. The fruit is a mix from Stagecoach, Veeder and Knights Valley and the break down is 80/10/5/5/ cabernet sauvignon/cabernet franc /merlot/petit verdot. Winemaster Randy Ullom does a cold pre-soak and puts the wine in 81per cent new French oak for 20 months.
