Napa Valley, California, United StatesAs in previous editions Stature mixes rich mountain fruit cabernet sauvignon (85) and malbec (5) now with 10 percent merlot off Jackson Park in Sonoma's Bennett Valley. The nose is a mix of sweet vanilla and deep dark berry fruit notes with lots of spicy and fine grained tannins. Dark rich glossy and youthful this wine needs another five years to mature in bottle before it can begin to reveal its future. It is aged 17 months in French and American oak of which 87 per cent is new.
