Nk'Mip Cellars Qwam Qwmt Pinot Noir 2009

Osoyoos, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaA very cold winter led into a dry warm almost normal 09 vintage before it all stop on October 15 with a devastating frost that froze the leaves effectively terminating the vintage. In the case of pinot the grapes were in good shape and yield an attractive mix of strawberry and rhubarb on the nose and palate all underpinned by fine acidity and an earthy, spicy, light tannin structure that carries thorough the finish. Despite its Q2 status this red is ready to drink. We suggest whole-roasted chicken would be a fine match.Tasted: 16 October 2012Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
