Fort Berens White Gold 2012

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaOpen fresh nose of citrus, sweaty grapefruit/passion fruit with an enticing lees/brioche character and some toasted oak. The attack is rich and round a creamy in that old-fashioned California style. I expect this wine will improve exponentially as the vines age and the new winery comes into play in the fall of 2014. The grapes for our reserve chardonnay came from the Sundial Vineyard on the Black Sage Bench in the south Okanagan. The wine is aged for twelve months in French oak of which a quarter is new.Tasted: 25 July 2014Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
