Poet's Leap Riesling 2013

Columbia Valley, Washington, United StatesThe Long Shadow is German Armin Diel the facilitator the ever patient LS winemaker Gilles Nicault. Nearly half the fruit comes off Horse Heaven Hills in 2013 and it may be the best we have tasted yet. Stony, minty, northwest notes weave their way into its nectarine mineral wet stone flavours. The acidity is fresh and easily muffles the trace 1.3 percent residual sugar. Just under 13 percent alcohol it has weight and lift and a true sense of minerality. Would love to see this wine drop its cork closure for a screwcap.Tasted: 05 September 2014Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
