Nautilus Estate Pinot Noir 2011

Marlborough, South Island, New ZealandA mix of clones and sites across Marlborough plus influence from wild ferment results in a layered pinot, perfumed and earthy. Warmed strawberry jam, sweet spices and generous ripe berry aromas. Tart cranberry acidity wakes up the palate, while silken, gentle strawberry and red cherry, soothes it before a smoked green branchiness closes out the finish. Smooth, but a bit clunky and abrupt. Would go well with cedar planked salmon or charcoaled pork kabobs.Tasted: 20 March 2015Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
