Quails' Gate Stewart Family Reserve Pinot Noir 2012

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe Stewart Family Reserve is made from pinot noir clones entirely from their estate vineyards on the Mount Boucherie bench. Ten to twenty-seven year old vines were selected; only the best lots make it into the SFR series. Fragrant black cherry and toasted cedar aromas lead into a structured and herbaceous palate. Rasped cedar, black cherries, wild raspberries, tobacco and fine spice are bound with tight grained tannins and lifted with fresh acidity. Bitter cherry lingers on the spicy finish. This will continue to mature and evolve in bottle over the next 3-5 years, but pour now with grilled salmon or pork tenderloin.Tasted: 28 March 2015Tasted by: Prices:
