Coonawarra, South Australia, AustraliaFragrant enticing cabernet nose with light vanilla, cassis, tobacco, cedar, black cherry, smoky, violet, black olive aromas with a touch of balsamic. Rich, ripe and full palate with smooth but grainy tannins plenty of juicy acidity. Surprisingly elegant at five years of age the palate mixes coffee, vanilla and chocolate flavours with cassis, blackberry, licorice, smoky black olive, pipe tobacco, cedar and smoked meat notes. It has fine intensity and balance without being too hard. Drinkable now but will benefit from another five to ten years aging in bottle to fully soften the tannins.
