Yalumba Cabernet Sauvignon/Shiraz The Signature Judy Argent 2008

Barossa Valley, South Australia, AustraliaThe ’08 Signature is classic SA mixing 56/44 cabernet sauvignon and shiraz. Coffee, black olive, pencil lead, vanilla, cassis, licorice, black cherry, tobacco leaf, cedar and leather aromas. Full, juicy, round, ripe palate with elegant styling and soft tannins. Black berry, cassis, licorice, coffee, chocolate, black olive, peppery, vanilla, orange peel, smoky, tea and herb flavours. Good intensity and length with very light tannins on the finish. Nicely balanced to drink now with a great piece of cheese or hold for 2-5 years. The Signature a significant contributor to the Yalumba pursuit of great reds in 2008 that person is Judy Argent to develop a system of keeping winemaking records.
