Chateau Cos d'Estournel 2010

St. Estèphe, Haut-Médoc, Médoc, Bordeaux, FranceThe peppery potency of this St.-Estephe stands out, while the structure of nearly 80 percent cabernet sauvignon carries undeniable structure. Scented wood and dusty gravels and leather notes, with an alluring dried raspberry floral and tobacco. Quite potent on the palate with black cherry, black plum and pure cassis in the ripe and juicy prime of youth. Nice savoury vein throughout with a black peppery earthiness to the lengthy finish. Lovely finesse and harmony, balancing out the powerful triad of tannins, fruit and minerality. Will reward in 15 years time.
