Pétales d'Osoyoos 2011

Osoyoos, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis is the second label of Osoyoos Larose, the French / Canadian partnership that first drew international eyes and sizeable investment to Okanagan. This is the wine meant to drink now, while you lay Osoyoos Larose down to rest. Strong cassis, dark plum and a touch of black fruit compote on the nose. The sharp palate reflects the cool vintage - a bit hard edged, even now four years along. Cranberry, cassis, blackberry thorn, tobacco and dried blueberries, across grippy, slightly bitter tannins and with fresh, brisk acidity. Finish is a bit short and quite a bit bitter black fruit; pour with beef stew to counter.Tasted: 12 April 2015Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
