Ruggeri Giustino B. Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore NV

Treviso, Verona, Veneto, ItalyGiustino Bisol, founded the winery in 1950 and worked hard on the Prosecco a wine style - the first fermentation is in large vats at a low temperature until spring before a second fermentation in pressurized vats where it remains on its yeast until June. The glera grapes come off the higher Dolomitic ridges, in the northern part of the Province of Treviso – in essence the best crus of the upper Valdobbiadene hills. The style is fresh and crisp with enough citrus and acidity to balance off the sugar. Look for floral, sugar-candied lemon fruit flavours and a clean finish. Try this with spicy appetizers. It is finished extra dry with about 16 gr/ltr of residual sugar.Tasted: 04 April 2015Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
