Ruffino Riserva Ducale Oro Chianti Classico Gran Selezione 2010

Tuscany, ItalyFloral, black cherry, sausage meat, peppery, licorice root, tobacco, resin and savoury herb aromas. Ripe, round, elegant, dry and juicy palate with light, grainy tannins. Smoky, plum, black cherry, meaty, black pepper, tobacco, resin, cardamom and almond flavours with a touch of coffee. Very good intensity and balance but still youthful. Drink with grilled lamb or keep for 3-5 years. New plantings and clonal work done almost two decades ago are paying off at Ruffino's many estates; the Ducale Oro is an 85/15 blend of sangiovese with merlot and colorino.Tasted: 10 February 2016Tasted by: Prices:
