Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaMerlot dominates Major’s block and good thing in this northern region. Bits of shiraz, cabernet sauvignon and zinfandel are mixed into fill out the flavours and its spine. I’m not a fan of the American/French oak blend mostly because it gives most wine a muddled mid-palate of oak in this case mixed with spicy cassis and blueberries. The finis is sweet with cloves and chocolate over an edge of acid. Grilled beef will tame the rough edges here.Tasted: 06 August 2015Tasted by: Prices:
