Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaBlack Sage Bench's Sundial Vineyard holds a special place in Harry McWatters' heart, and here he expresses the warm site through this full bodied, near-near-opague syrah. Black pepper and blackberry jam aromas lead to a very densely fruited palate. Thick blackberry jam, black cherry, dark cherry compote, prune, roasted coffee and chocolate are cut with thorny brambles and sweet wood. Tannins are smooth and a bit sticky, and the finish cloved, warm and woody.
