Fort Berens Cabernet Franc 2013

Lillooet, British Columbia, CanadaToasted branch, resin and sour cherry compote open the nose and continue onto the earthy, compact palate. Slightly sticky black fruit, light campfire, a whiff of wild mint and grainy tannins anchor this full bodied red, Lillooet-made, with grapes sourced from the Black Sage Bench in Oliver. Ten months in French and American oak muscle this cabernet up, making it a touch too big for its britches right now but it would work with a juicy steak now or with 1-2 years in cellar (longer possibly, but not with a plastic cork).Tasted: 18 November 2015Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
