Le Clos Jordanne Les Grand Clos Chardonnay 2011

Twenty Mile Bench, Niagara Peninsula, Ontario, CanadaGreen apple, floral, lemon, lees, vanilla nose with waxy, slightly toasty nut and slate aromas. Fresh, crisp, slightly oily but juicy palate with grassy, green apple, butter, salty lees, slate, vanilla and a touch of garlic. Good intensity and concentration but also fairly high acidity. Should improve further and flesh out a bit more. This group of Clos Jordanne chardonnays offer a fine look at what has to be one of the most balanced offerings in Canadian winemaking.
