The attack is fresh and juicy with big black berry jam, dark plum, savoury, smoky, coffee flavours flecked with vanilla and licorice. Lots of good fruit and concentration but the warm tart finish brings forward some green tannins. Fine for food like steaks. A year in bottle should help this wine settle in.
