Serendipity Pinot Noir 2012

Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaFrom an old converted orchard on the Naramata Bench, this estate pinot noir opens with black cherry and sweet cedar notes. The palate continues the black cherry theme - here it is a bit tarter and pinched, with lightly furry tannins, tart black raspberry, herbal mustard seed undercurrent and a sweet berry jam. The finish is astringent (oaky) with a hint of heat. Best poured with a saucy duck pasta dish. Less spicy oak please, more Naramata fruit.Tasted: 10 November 2015Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Treve RingPrices:
