Spierhead Pinot Noir GFV Saddle Block 2014

East Kelowna Slopes, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe east Kelowna home site estate Gentleman Framer Vineyard (GFV) is shaped like a saddle, hence the Saddle Block moniker. It is also the home of Spierhead’s original pinot noir plantings, Dijon clones 115, 777 and 828. The colour is slightly darker and in the warm 2014 vintage, these clones designed to ripen early yield a round, soft, warm, spicy, cherry, savoury/menthol pinot noir. Tannins are fine and gentle, as is the acidity. Easy to sip and ready to work with richer dishes like duck or pork belly.Tasted: 15 December 2015Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Treve RingPrices:
