Alexander Valley, Sonoma County, California, United StatesThe Hyde Wente clone planted over multiple years since 1982 at 1600 feet is behind this Alexander Valley, Sonoma County Mayacamas Mountains. The pinnacle chardonnay at Stonestreet is 100 percent barrel fermented with native yeast. It spends over 11 months in French oak barrels 50 percent of which are new. Expect an intoxicating mix of floral, peachy tropical fruit aromas and flavours with a rich creamy, leesy, citrus mineral undercurrent. The finish is long with spice, dried herbs and more floral stony notes. Just under control in the back end to keep it all together. Best with rich sea food and white meats.
