Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis is an exciting wine from Van Westen that illustrates the right grape in the right place, in this case cabernet franc on the Naramata Bench. The nose has beautiful floral note, followed by a melange of red and black fruit nuances from plum blueberries. The palate is soft but cast with rich fine grained dense tannins that chalk-up your palate and a delicious mix of plums and curry and chocolate and dried herbs. So impressive at this stage but wait on this three to five years. It will be even better. Perfect with oven roasted meats and mushroom dishes.
