JoieFarm Viognier 2014

Summerland Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaWith a striking, singular floral label, JoieFarm signifies the uniqueness of this viognier, eight lengthy rows from a long-term leased vineyard in Summerland. Perfumed and lush, with heady florals, dried apricots, lychee, baby powder, fleshy peach, overripe tropical melon, honeysuckle, ginger ale and lime curd. Full bodied and textural, aided through low yields, 26.5 brix at harvest and eight months in oak on fine lees, this showy off-dry white finishes with a wave of perfumed vanilla. At 14.5 percent alcohol, this full bodied wine feels a meal in itself. However, it would pair alongside fragrant, coconut-milk laced dishes or Hawaiian-influenced fare. 143 cases made.Tasted: 01 March 2016Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
