Chateau de Sancerre Cuvée du Connétable 2010

Sancerre, Upper Loire, Loire, FranceCuvée du Connétable is a selection of top parcels within the Chateau Sancerre estate. The fermentation is long followed by one year in barrel; the lees are stirred regularly throughout the ageing period which takes place in 95/5 percent, used/new French oak barrels for one year. The 2010 with its light yellow colour is nearing the end of its run but has that older white wine appeal. Floral with candied citrus and quince aromas and flavours with bits of coffee and spice. Foie gras would be a fine match for the weight and heft of this wine.Tasted: 10 May 2016Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
