Tinhorn Creek Oldfield Series Rosé 2015
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe colour is lighter and the sugar has been dialed back from 9 grams to 6 grams. There is still a noticeable bump of sugar here, but the reduction is appreciated, brightening the fruit and upping this rosé’s food-friendly quotient. It’s all cabernet franc from the Diamondback Vineyard on Black Sage Bench. Rhubarb pie, cranberry, and raspberry mark the nose with savoury flecks of dried herbs in the finish. Drink solo in the sun or serve with chilled salmon dishes all spring and summer.
