Clos du Soleil Capella 2014

British Columbia, CanadaThe ’14 is an 88/12 mix of sauvignon blanc and sémillon that is 100 percent barrel fermented and lees stirred using only a small amount of new French oak. The nose is expressive, south desert with notes of elderflower, white peach and pink grapefruit that spill onto a creamy, citrus, grassy passionfruit palate. There is a little less electricity on the palate but has fine minerality and balance, and a little more sheen and weight in the style of a white Bordeaux. And it's delicious drinking. Serve with most west coast seafood.Tasted: 08 July 2016Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
