Famille Perrin Côtes du Rhône Rouge Réserve 2013

Côtes du Rhône, Rhone Valley, FranceAh, Côtes du Rhône is such a classic bistro red. Every time I have a solid one, especially a familiar one like Perrin, I wonder why more people don't drink these food-friendly, inexpensive wines more often. Fresh and bright, this grenache/shiraz/mourvèdre/cinsault blend draws black cherry, raspberry across finely sticky tannins and ample black and white pepper. The finish is snappy and spiced, but carries a lot of heat. Roasted chicken or steak frites are a natural match.Tasted: 21 July 2016Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
