Lock and Worth Sauvignon Blanc Semillon 2013

Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaLock & Worth is a Naramata based partnership between Matthew Sherlock & Ross Hackworth – longtime colleagues and comrades from Nichol Vineyard, further up Naramata Bench. The duo’s low interventionist winemaking philosophy is in play here, with grapes sourced from 1999 plantings on gravelly soils in Oliver. Three quarter whole cluster press and a six month layover in neutral French oak has filled out some of the mineral stoney framework, resulting in a flinty, wild herb and citrus dressed wine. Bright acidity is tempered with a cushion of pear, hay and salted, dried herbs. Aging very well.Tasted: 20 July 2016Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
