Cambria Benchbreak Chardonnay 2014

Santa Maria Valley, Santa Barbara County, Central Coast, California, United StatesBenchbreak opens on the rich side of chardonnay with caramel, brown spices and vanilla dominating the nose. Underneath is a citrus, mango and pineapple core that scrubs some of the richness off the back end of the palate. It is 100 percent chardonnay and a broad mix of clones including 4, 76, 96 and Wente. Benchbreak is a cool coastal vineyard at 400-800 metres above sea level, made up of ancient fossilized seashells, shale, limestone and sand. Serve with crab, lobster or creamy shrimp dishes.Tasted: 25 August 2016Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
