Meyer Family Vineyards Pinot Noir McLean Creek Road Vineyard 2014

Okanagan Falls, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis steeper, gravelled Okanagan Falls vineyard is planted with five French pinot noir clones spread across three different blocks, bringing diversity to the final cuvee. After a cold soak, partial wild yeast ferment and lengthy warm fermentation, this went into French oak barrels (24 percent new) for eleven months. Wild strawberry, raspberry, forest and fine textured minerality stream through this finessed, medium-bodied red, structured with a fine backbone and moderately grippy tannins. Impressive in youth, but will reward even more with a couple of years in the cellar.Tasted: 26 September 2016Tasted by: Prices:
