Meyer Family Vineyards Pinot Noir Reimer Vineyard Kelowna 2014

East Kelowna Slopes, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaReimer Vineyard is a pinot noir-only site in south east Kelowna, planted on silty loam and gravels. Partial wild yeast fermented, warm and long, this spent eleven months in French oak (25 percent of which was new). Tight black cherry, black raspberry, and pithy and grippy tannins support a tight core of fruit in this medium-full red. An alluring savoury vein throughout, with smoked flake salts and scented herbs (cinnamon, five spice) weaving along to a stony finish. Young still, but will impress even more with a year or two to knit in the cellar.Tasted: 26 September 2016Tasted by: Prices:
