Rocky Creek Wild Blackberry NV

Cowichan Valley, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, CanadaThe Rocky Creek wild blackberries are picked by local First Nations, and in this particular wine, back in August 2013. After an extended cold soak, the yeast is added and it is partially fermented on its pulp before bring pressed off and finished in stainless steel. After several rackings what you get is an intense essence of blackberry fruit. The palate is jammy, with smoky, peppery, licorice flavours. Try it with ice cream or fruit pies. Unique and well done.Tasted: 21 October 2016Tasted by: Prices:
