Black Sage Vineyard Cabernet Franc 2014

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe latest Franc spent 14 months in oak barrels, sixty-five percent French and thirty-five percent American. Only 20% is new oak. The nose has a very prominent blueberry scent with some pepper and spice. The palate is similar in style with savoury, spicy, cedar/clove and sweet blueberry fruit that persists through the finish. Again, a year or two in bottle would be useful to allow this wine to settle into itself. Beef and/or lamb is the call here.Tasted: 12 October 2016Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
