Valle de Leyda, Valle de San Antonio, Region de Aconcagua, ChileWinemaker Marcelo Papa is getting the most out of his Leyda-based Poniente Vineyard, located 390 metres above sea level some 14 kilometers from the Pacific Ocean. Clay soils and cool sea breezes lay on the intensity of the aromas and flavours here. Look for a clean, super bright, clone one sauvignon, with intense gooseberry and grapefruit aromas. The palate adds a limey, grassy undercurrent to the gooseberry, resulting in a very Kiwi style.
