Jean-Maurice Raffault Chinon Rouge 2015

Chinon, Touraine, Loire, FranceIf you like Loire cabernet franc with a touch of California, back up the truck. The 2015 vintage was early and warm and fruit is fully ripe. Reduced acidity and concentrated fruit has made for a delicious wine. Raffault's Chinon Rouge comes off several blocks of vineyards grown over sandy, alluvial soil near the Vienne River. The texture is silky, the fruit a tasty mix of ripe raspberries and cherries, and as young as it is, it is ready to drink. Impressive value.Tasted: 12 October 2016Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
