Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe Narrative line was created to give a pure or natural view of the Okanagan, at a fair price and the riesling is the poster child. Potent pear, red apple and anise-imbued honey open this Golden Mile Bench-sourced riesling that slides across the palate generously off-dry. The sweetness is countered by a fresh cut of pink grapefruit acidity and ringed by ginger spicing and clean, snappy finish. This was fermented wild in concrete before spending time in stainless steel and its delicious. Juicy and young, and an admirable 10.7 percent alcohol a good choice if you are looking for an off-dry, Spätlese-styled local riesling.
