Narrative Ancient Method by Okanagan Crush Pad 2015

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaNarrative is about the Okanagan story. A rare climate, a region of extremes: home to both arid desert landscape and cold snowy winters. Pedro Parra and Theo Siemens are the farmers of record for this imaginative sparkler made from pinot noir grown at the Summerland Garnet Valley Ranch project. The GVR is 126 ha organic farm established in 2012 on virgin land left to its natural landscape. The vineyards sit between 600 and 680 meters above sea level, making it the highest elevation vineyard site in the Okanagan. The soil is a mix of fractured rock with a high level of calcium carbonate encased rock. The ’15 Narrative sparkler is all pinot noir, clones 667, 777, 115, and 828, bottled at 22 grams of residual sugar during primary fermentation – with no additives or stabilization. In the glass this is beguiling. Soft and juicy, bubbly - if a touch crude - yet delicious in the back end delivering all you want with no additives at 11.5 percent alcohol.Tasted: 01 May 2017Tasted by: Prices:
