Domaine Eleni et Edouard Vocoret Chablis Le Bas de Chapelot 2014

Chablis, Burgundy, FranceWet stone, crisp citrus and a lovely stoney lees bed from this small 3.3 HA family owned vineyard just below the Montée de Tonnerre 1er Cru. The Vocoret family have been making wines in Chablis for generations, though this project is Edouard Vocoret and his wife Eleni, who trained at Dauvissat and Oudin. They are solely focused on small production, quality and terroir. Young, with just a light reveal of stone fruit and white floral perfume, this is built on minerality and blanketed with honeysuckle. Drinking well now, this will certainly continue to improve with time in bottle. Understated and pure.Tasted: 29 December 2016Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
