Domaine Servin Chablis Grand Cru Bougros 2014

Chablis, Burgundy, FranceDomaine Servin is now in its forth generation of tending vines in Chablis, with family roots dating back to 1654 and with vines deep on old Kimmeridgian limestone (though here chardonnay is also known as Beaunois). The power of Grand Cru Bougros is clear here with the full, lees-fed body and tropical lemon, citrus curd and honeyed stone fruit. Flinty, spicy wet stone lingers on the very long finish. This site is near the top of slope, with vines averaging 34 years. The wine was fermented and aged in older oak and underwent full MLF. A baby now, this will fully reveal in ten years.Tasted: 29 December 2016Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
