Gehringer Brothers Optimum Pinot Noir 2014

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaSandalwood, cedar shavings, ripe cherry and light hickory spice fill this round, fuller bodied and concentrated "reserve tier" pinot noir from the Golden Mile Bench. The smoked wood continues along wood-grained tannins, to an earthy, bittersweet chocolate finish. A bruiser of a red, this is more akin to a muscular merlot than a finessed pinot noir, but if that's what you're into, pair this with grilled bison burgers.Tasted: 13 January 2017Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
