Gustave Lorentz Riesling Altenberg de Bergheim Vieilles Vignes Grand Cru 2008

Alsace, FranceAt eight years old this wine is close to full maturity in the rich, dry, intense Alsace style. The nose is showing some age with potent honey, cooked pear mixing with citrus pith, green notes and stony minerality. Bergheim, the vineyard, is steep sloping and sits between 220 and 320 metres above sea level. No need to hold this now; it is ready to drink.Tasted: 03 January 2017Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
