Marlborough, South Island, New ZealandThere are no surprises with Kim Crawford, unless getting it mostly right every year surprises you. There is a softer acidity here and less bitter lime rind notes that mark a lot of commercial Kiwi sauvignon blanc. The fruit is a mix from the Wairau Valley and neighbouring Awatere Valley and it's bright and showy. Expect a citrus entry with mango, pineapple and passionfruit flavours, juicy with a touch of sweet fruit. An easy-sipping style for asparagus, young goat cheese or shellfish.
