Franklin River, Great Southern, Western Australia, AustraliaWestern Australia's Frankland River is the site of this punchy sauvignon blanc, one dominated by assertive passionfruit and asparagus, and plumped with time and stirring of the lees in French oak barriques. The two forces (green and fruity, rich and leesy) are at odds throughout, leaving a disjointed whole. A smoked sour lemon note lingers on the snappy finish.
