Pétales d'Osoyoos 2013

Osoyoos, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe second label to flagship Osoyoos Larose, Pétales is meant to be drunk now, while waiting for the big brother to hit his prime. This is pretty serious as is, with chisled and serious black fruit, bitter cherry, espresso, smoked tobacco, medicinal cherry and grilled meats, tightly framed and structured. That said, amidst the drying, firm tannins, there is a playful cushion of anise-seeded black fruit that says "drink me now!", and rightfully so, alongside roast beef, and preferably after a decant. Medium bodied (13.5 percent), this blend of merlot, cabernet sauvignon, malbec, cabernet franc and petit verdot certainly sits in the savoury side of the southern Okanagan. This little brother is growing into a man.Tasted: 27 February 2017Tasted by: Prices:
